Slow Steps This Way

Sat Jul 1, 2006, 5:07 PM
...and the first words finally come out. Why is it harder to start than it is to finish?

This entry exists solely for one purpose, so let's get on with it.

Over the last... 2 or 3 days maybe? Right. Over the last few days I've witnessed events I've only ever seen before in feature films. I know, that doesn't narrow it down much. Let me finish.

I've always said I enjoy over-the-top "reality" in entertainment, be it games, books, music, television or movies - whatever - but I can barely stand most of what's presented as news on television. It's real. Do I need to know every time someone gets shot in Detroit or bitten by a shark in Miami?

I hope to spell this out better in creative writing soon. I cannot begin to explain how witnessing these events in real life has altered my perspective. No one died... nothing like that. I don't want to talk about it, but I do. The "weight of it" still hangs over me and inspired me to take this step back toward dA.

Heh, yeah dude. You need a PC too. I run debian, but I definitely need my PC for any serious gaming.

Well, I need to get XP going first. I've got all of my multimedia stuff (pictures, music, videos) on a harddrive that's ext3 formatted, and I'm not quite sure how I'd access it in XP.
